You know, I used to think I was pretty savvy about scams and stuff, but last month someone almost got me with a fake insurance call. Luckily, I'd recently read about double-checking caller IDs and never giving info over the phone without verifying first. I hung up, called my insurer directly, and turns out it was totally bogus. Felt pretty good catching them in the act, haha. Anyone else had a close call like that or managed to dodge a scam lately?
Had something similar happen with a fake bank text recently. It looked legit at first glance—had the right logo and everything—but the link was a bit off, like one letter different from my actual bank's site. Glad I paused to double-check before clicking. Makes me wonder though, are scammers getting smarter or are we just noticing it more now? Seems like they're everywhere lately...

I think it's a bit of both, honestly. Scammers have definitely upped their game—I've noticed phishing emails and texts becoming increasingly sophisticated, even down to mimicking the exact wording my bank uses. But we're also more aware now because cybersecurity education has improved. Recently, I almost fell for a fake delivery notification; the tracking link looked legit until I hovered over it and saw some random domain. Always pays to be cautious these days...
Yeah, scammers are definitely leveling up their sneakiness lately. Got a text last week about my "Netflix account being suspended"—joke's on them, I mooch off my roommate's account anyway... nice try though.

Had something similar happen with a fake DMV email about renewing my license. Almost clicked it since mine expires soon, but the weird URL tipped me off. Glad I double-checked before paying anything... money's tight enough already.
