Title: Why California’s minimum car insurance might not be enough

Yeah, I get where you’re coming from. Honestly, I used to think the same when I drove an old Civic. But after getting my current car, I realized those minimums barely cover a fender bender, let alone anything major. It’s wild how fast costs add up if something actually happens. Still, I get not wanting to pay more when your ride’s not worth much... been there.

I hear you, but what if you’re already paying a lot just because your record’s not spotless? My rates are wild, so bumping coverage feels impossible. Is it really worth the risk, though, if your car isn’t even that valuable? I keep going back and forth on it...

Honestly, I get where you’re coming from. My old car’s barely worth much, but I still went with more than the minimum after a fender bender last year. The other driver’s bills were way higher than I expected… made me rethink cutting corners. It stings to pay more, but lawsuits freak me out more than a dented bumper.
