I talked to my insurance agent yesterday about liability coverage here in California and honestly, I'm still kinda lost. He explained it twice but it felt like he was speaking another language, lol. Has anyone else had this experience or is it just me?

You're definitely not aloneβ€”I had pretty much the same experience when I first got my policy here. My agent threw around terms like "bodily injury limits" and "property damage coverage," and I just nodded along pretending to get it. Later, I ended up googling everything myself and watching a couple YouTube vids that explained it way clearer. Honestly, insurance language feels intentionally confusing sometimes...like they're trying to keep us in the dark, lol. Anyway, once you get past the jargon, it's basically about how much your insurance pays if you're at fault in an accident. Took me a while to get comfortable with it too, so don't feel bad.

Yeah, insurance jargon can be a mess...but honestly, it's not always intentional. A lot of these terms are legal requirements, so companies are stuck using them. Once you get past the fancy wording, it's pretty straightforward: how much your policy covers if you're responsible for damage or injuries. Did your agent at least explain the state minimums clearly? That's usually the first step to making sense of it all.
