I've done plenty of cross-country trips, and honestly, cheaper gas won't really hurt your mileage long-term if the car's maintained. Step one: keep your tires inflated properly—that affects mileage way more than gas quality. Step two: regular oil changes and air filter checks. Step three: don't obsess over gas stations; just avoid sketchy-looking pumps or places with super old tanks. Bottom line, your Corolla won't care much about fuel brand as long as you're keeping up with basic maintenance.

Good tips overall, though I gotta say I've noticed slightly better mileage when I stick with decent-quality gas. Not talking premium or anything crazy, just avoiding the super sketchy stations. But yeah, tire pressure is huge... learned that the hard way after driving halfway through Arkansas on underinflated tires and watching my gas needle drop like a rock. Lesson learned, lol. Regular maintenance beats brand loyalty every time.

True enough, but I've found certain luxury brands are picky about gas quality—my Benz definitely runs smoother on mid-grade. Curious if anyone's noticed insurance premiums vary much depending on car brand in Arkansas?

I've definitely noticed some differences in premiums based on brand, at least here in Arkansas. When I switched from my Lexus to an Audi a couple years back, my insurance jumped noticeably—even though both cars were roughly in the same price range and had similar safety ratings. I asked my agent about it, and apparently, certain brands have higher repair costs or are statistically more likely to be stolen, which can bump up your rates.

Funny thing is, when I moved from Little Rock out to a smaller town nearby, my premium actually dropped a bit. Guess location matters just as much as the car itself sometimes. But back to your point about gas quality—totally agree there. My Audi is super finicky about fuel; regular unleaded makes it feel sluggish, but mid-grade or premium smooths things right out. Not sure if it's psychological or legit engine performance, but hey, if it feels better...

Anyway, if you're shopping around for insurance, I'd suggest checking with a few different companies. I've found that some insurers seem to specialize or at least offer better deals for luxury brands than others. Also, bundling home and auto made a pretty big difference for me personally.

Have you tried comparing quotes online yet? Might be worth spending half an hour plugging in your details just to see what's out there.

Yep, location can make a surprising difference. Smaller towns usually mean fewer accidents and thefts, so insurers tend to relax a bit. Also, you're spot-on about brand repair costs—Audis can be pricey to fix compared to Lexus. And about the gas thing...definitely not just psychological. Higher octane fuel genuinely helps performance in certain engines. Your Audi isn't just being picky for fun, trust me!
