Been thinking about this lately after my sister had a minor fender-bender last month. She's been bragging about how her rates didn't jump thanks to accident forgiveness. Honestly, I never really paid attention to that option before, figured it was just another upsell from insurance companies. But now I'm kinda reconsidering it...

I mean, Arizona drivers can be pretty wild sometimes (looking at you, Phoenix rush hour traffic), and accidents do happen even if you're careful. But is it really worth paying extra each month for something you might never use? Or is it smarter to just save that money and deal with the rate hike if something does happen?

Quick poll time: Do you guys pay extra for accident forgiveness coverage or nah? Curious to see what the majority thinks about this...

- Totally get where you're coming from on this one. I used to think accident forgiveness was just another sneaky way for insurance companies to squeeze a few extra bucks out of us each month.
- But then my husband rear-ended someone near Scottsdale Rd (you know, that lovely spot where everyone suddenly forgets how brakes work...). Our rates shot up like crazy, and it took forever to get them back down. Not fun.
- After that fiasco, we bit the bullet and added accident forgiveness. Haven't needed it yet (knock on wood), but honestly, the peace of mind alone is worth it for me.
- Yeah, it's annoying paying extra for something you might never use, but considering how unpredictable AZ drivers can beβ€”especially during monsoon season or when snowbirds invadeβ€”it's kinda comforting knowing one slip-up won't wreck our budget.
- So yeah, I'm team "pay a little extra now" rather than getting slammed later. But hey, everyone's mileage (literally) may vary...
