We had a pretty nasty hail storm roll through our neighborhood about two weeks ago, and my car and roof got hit pretty bad. Filed the claim right away, but the insurance company is dragging their feet big time. I've called them like three times already, and each time they just say they're "processing" it. Meanwhile, my neighbor across the street somehow already got an adjuster out and is scheduled for repairs next week. Um, am I missing something here? Like, is there some secret handshake or magic phrase I need to use to get things moving quicker?
I mean, it's not like I'm expecting overnight miracles, but two weeks and still nothing concrete feels a bit much. Has anyone else dealt with this kinda delay after hail damage? Curious if there's something specific I should be doing differently or if it's just luck of the draw with insurance companies...
Had something similar happen last year after a hail stormβmy car looked like a golf ball, lol. Insurance kept giving me the runaround too. Eventually, I politely asked to speak with a supervisor and mentioned how long I'd been waiting. Funny enough, things started moving pretty quickly after that. Might be worth a shot if you're still stuck waiting...
