Now it feels like they want a DNA sample just to knock off a few bucks.

Honestly, I’d rather eat ramen for a week than keep chasing these “discounts.” Last time I sent in my transcript, they said it was too blurry—like, sorry my phone camera’s not 4K. At some point, the hassle outweighs the savings, at least for me.

I hear you on the hassle. I tried to get that “good student” discount last year and it was like jumping through flaming hoops. They wanted my transcript, a letter from my advisor, and then some online verification thing that kept timing out. I get that they want proof, but it’s not like I’m trying to scam them for a few bucks off my premium.

Honestly, by the time I got everything together, I’d spent more time than the discount was worth. And then, after all that, they only knocked off like $8 a month. Not nothing, but not exactly life-changing either. Sometimes I wonder if they make it complicated on purpose so people just give up.

That said, if you’re already organized and have all your docs handy, maybe it’s not as bad. But for me? I’d rather just budget a little tighter and not deal with the paperwork circus every semester.

Yeah, the “good student” discount process is like a scavenger hunt nobody asked for. I remember helping my cousin with it—she had to dig up stuff from three different departments, and the online portal crashed twice. By the end, she was ready to pay extra just to avoid the headache. I get why they want proof, but man, it feels like they’re testing your patience more than your GPA. If you’re not already super organized, it’s almost not worth the hassle.
