Does maintenance downtime affect which rideshare coverage period applies?

If a car is offline for routine maintenance, does that change how the rideshare platform or insurer classifies a later trip? I’m not sure whether coverage periods depend strictly on app status at the time, or whether a driver also needs to report maintenance downtime for eligibility reasons.

I’d want to confirm how the platform defines being logged out versus being online and waiting for a request, and ask the insurer whether routine service affects the policy or any app-use endorsement. What wording or questions helped you get a clear answer, rather than relying on the app status alone?

Does the platform or policy have a maintenance-related eligibility rule separate from app status during a trip? For example, can a required repair or documented safety defect affect eligibility after the car is back in service, or does maintenance downtime simply make it unavailable until it meets the applicable requirements again?
