Avoiding hefty fines for driving without insurance in OK - how I do it, but is there a better way?

Honestly, I always wonder if my luck will run out with just the digital card. Had a buddy who got pulled over, and his app froze right as the cop was waiting - talk about stressful. I keep an old, slightly faded paper copy tucked behind my registration, just in case. Is it overkill? Maybe, but I’d rather be safe than trying to explain a dead phone to a state trooper. Anyone else stash their proof in weird spots, or is that just me?

I do something similar, but I keep a laminated copy in the glove box of each car. I’ve had my phone die at the worst possible time - wasn’t about to risk it with the Panamera. Is it overkill?
