Would you stick it out or start shopping around? I’ve heard mixed things about the big names here in Kentucky, but honestly, I don’t know who’s actually decent. If you had to switch, who would you even consider? Any horror stories or hidden gems?

Okay, so I admit it—I haven't exactly been the poster child for perfect driving lately. Got a couple speeding tickets in the past year (nothing crazy, just a bit over the limit here and there), and one minor fender bender that was technically my fault. Now my insurance company decided I'm some kind of menace on wheels and jacked up my rates like crazy. I'm in Kentucky, and it's starting to feel impossible to find a decent price.

I've been shopping around online, but every quote I get is either sky-high or they flat-out refuse to cover me. I mean, I get it, I'm not exactly their dream customer right now, but come on...it's not like I'm out there drag racing or something. Just a regular guy who maybe needs to slow down a bit more often, lol.

Anyway, has anyone else been through this? Did you find any companies that were more forgiving or at least somewhat reasonable? Or maybe there's some trick or loophole I'm missing? I've heard about these smaller local agencies sometimes being more flexible, but I dunno if that's true or just wishful thinking.

Honestly, at this point, I'm even considering one of those tracking devices that monitors your driving habits if it'll save me some cash. But then again, do I really want Big Brother watching every time I brake too hard or accelerate a little fast at a green light? Ugh.

If you've been in my shoes, I'd love to hear how you handled it. Any advice or recommendations would be awesome.

I've been looking into the recent changes Kentucky made to their insurance laws, and honestly, I'm kinda torn. On one hand, the new rules seem like they offer better protection for policyholders, which is great. But on the other hand, it feels like they're adding layers of complexity that might make claims and paperwork even more of a headache than before. Curious if folks here prefer simpler regulations with fewer protections or more thorough (but complicated) ones... thoughts?

I've heard decent things about both, but also some horror stories, you know how it goes.
