It covered some stuff my regular insurance didn't touch (like the ambulance, ugh). I'm still not totally sure if it's worth the extra cost every renewal though... Has anyone else actually used this and felt like it was a lifesaver, or does it just end up being redundant for most people?

I recently went through the whole process of dealing with insurance after a car accident (not my fault, thankfully), and man, it was way more complicated than I expected. I ended up using one of those online calculators to get a rough idea of what my injury claim might be worth. It seemed pretty straightforward at first, but once I started talking with the insurance adjuster, things got tricky real fast.

The adjuster's first offer was honestly pretty low compared to what the calculator said. I mean, I wasn't expecting a jackpot or anything, but it felt like they were really trying to lowball me. Eventually, after some back-and-forth, we settled on an amount that was closer to what I'd originally thought was fair.

I'm curious if anyone else has used these online calculators or similar tools when dealing with injury claims. Did you find them accurate at all, or did you have to push back a lot like I did?

I was chatting with my cousin yesterday (he works at an insurance office, so he knows all sorts of random stuff), and he mentioned something kinda surprising. Apparently, even if you're hit by someone without insurance, your own policy might actually cover your medical bills and damages under something called "uninsured motorist coverage." I honestly had no idea this was even a thing until now. Makes me wonder how many people are driving around without knowing they're already protected. Has anyone else heard about this or had to deal with it personally?

Just went through the whole process of fighting a denied injury claim. Basically, first thing I did was request a detailed explanation from the insurance company about why they said no. Then I gathered up all my medical records, doctor's notes, and anything else relevant. Next, I wrote a clear, polite (well, mostly polite lol) letter outlining why their decision was incorrect, attaching all my evidence. Sent it certified mail, waited a few weeks, and eventually got them to reconsider.

Anyone else have a different approach or tips that worked better?
