Finding decent car insurance deals on the islands - my step-by-step

Try explaining that to an algorithm... It’s definitely better than before, but sometimes I wish the system understood island life a bit more.

That’s wild - literally. I’ve had similar issues with telematics dinging me for “hard braking” when it’s just a chicken crossing the road. Do you think these systems will ever get better at factoring in local quirks, or is it just wishful thinking?

- Most telematics data is crunched by folks who’ve never driven a mile here. They don’t know what it’s like dodging wild pigs at dusk.
- Even if they tweak the system, there’s always going to be something it misses. Local quirks just aren’t on their radar.

I get why people want smarter tech, but right now? It’s still pretty tone-deaf to how we actually drive out here.
