Honestly, I’ve always been skeptical about the whole “bundling saves you money” thing, but your breakdown actually makes sense. My parents bundled me in when I started driving, and the rate hike was brutal, but not as bad as the solo quote I got out of curiosity. One thing I’d add—Hawaii’s insurance laws are strict, so skimping on coverage can backfire fast. It’s tempting to just go liability, but one fender bender and you’re toast. Still, I wish there was a way to get credit for being a careful teen driver... feels like we all get lumped together no matter what.
