Sometimes the default settings aren’t what you’d expect, and you don’t want a surprise if something happens.

Yeah, learned that the hard way—our deductible was way higher than I thought after my kid’s fender bender. Bundling saved us a bit, but man, those rates still sting. Hawaii insurance is no joke...

I feel you on the sticker shock—just started looking into this for my younger brother, and the numbers are wild. We thought about a separate policy, but the quotes were even higher than adding him to the family plan. Bundling seemed like the lesser evil, but still, those Hawaii premiums hurt. I didn’t even realize how much the deductible could change things until I started reading the fine print... turns out, it’s not always clear upfront.
