Seriously, I've been looking around for insurance options that come with my professional membership (you know, the kind that's supposed to be a "perk") and honestly, it's been pretty disappointing. I mean, you'd think being part of an association or whatever would get you a sweet deal or at least something better than what you can find just googling around. But nope, the prices are barely any better, and sometimes they're even worse!
I dunno if it's just my field or what, but it feels like these memberships hype up their benefits so much, and then when you actually dig into them, it's like... meh. Anyone else feel like they're paying membership fees for a bunch of promises that don't really pan out? Or maybe I'm just missing something obvious here, haha.

Yeah, I've noticed something similar. Seems like these associations partner with insurers mainly for marketing, not necessarily to offer real savings. Maybe the "perk" is just convenience rather than price? Curious if anyone's actually found a membership insurance deal that's genuinely better than regular market options... or is it mostly hype across the board?
