Had a deer run into my minivan last fall (yeah, it ran into me—try explaining that to the adjuster).

- Can confirm, “the deer hit me” is more common than you’d think. Delaware wildlife don’t care about your deductible.
- Paperwork is definitely a pain, but it’s there to keep things straight when stories start getting wild (pun intended).
- Waiting for call-backs? Yeah, not ideal. Some companies are better than others at actually picking up the phone.
- Still, you’re right—having insurance is way less stressful than paying out of pocket after Bambi takes out your bumper.
- Pro-tip: keep photos and details handy, saves a bunch of back-and-forth later.

Ain’t that the truth. I swear, the deer around here have a death wish—or maybe they just hate minivans. I had a close call last winter, and my dashcam footage was the only thing that kept the adjuster from thinking I’d made it up. Paperwork’s a pain, but honestly, it’s better than fighting with insurance over “acts of nature.” Still, waiting for those call-backs is like watching paint dry... except more expensive.

Can confirm—Delaware deer are straight-up menaces. Last fall, one bounced off my bumper like it was in the X Games. Insurance lady actually laughed when I told her. I swear, the only thing more stressful than dodging wildlife is trying to figure out if my policy covers “hoof-related incidents.” The paperwork’s a nightmare, but the customer service hold music might be worse...

- Been there—my deductible’s basically a “deer tax” at this point.
- Pro tip: ask if your policy covers “acts of antler.” Some reps actually know what you mean.
- That hold music is like psychological warfare. I’d rather face another deer than listen to that flute solo again.
- Why does every claim form feel like a pop quiz on insurance jargon?

Honestly, I feel this on a spiritual level. Last time I called, I swear the music looped three times before anyone picked up. And yeah, those claim forms... I had to Google half the words. It’s wild how something that’s supposed to help you just ends up making you more stressed. Hang in there—it’s rough, but you’re definitely not alone.
