Had a minor fender bender last week, nothing major, just some bumper damage. Filed a claim and the adjuster called me yesterday. Man, I felt like I was being interrogated by the FBI or something, lol. They asked stuff like exactly what time it happened (down to the minute), weather conditions, if I was distracted, even what shoes I was wearing (seriously??). Felt kinda weird and overly detailed for such a small accident.

I get they gotta do their job and all, but is this normal? Like, do adjusters always dig this deep into every little detail? Or did I just get someone who's extra thorough or having a bad day? Curious if anyone else had a similar experience or if mine was just...you know...special.

Dealing with adjusters can be a bit of a headache sometimes, especially if you're new to the whole insurance claim thing. One thing I've learned (the hard way, lol) is to keep everything documented. Seriously, every single conversation, email, or voicemail—write down dates, times, names, and what was discussed. Saved my butt more than once when there was confusion later on.

Also, being polite but firm goes a long way. Adjusters are just people doing their jobs, you know, and if you're respectful but clear about what you need, they're usually more willing to help you out. I used to get frustrated and lose my cool, but that never got me anywhere.

Curious if anyone else has found little tricks or hacks that make dealing with adjusters smoother. Maybe something I haven't thought of yet?
