"Wonder if digital wallets would've sped things up or just added another layer of hassle..."

Had something similar happen recently—someone tried booking flights using my card details. Luckily, my digital wallet flagged it immediately and froze the transaction. Bank sorted it within a couple days, way quicker than when I dealt with traditional card fraud before. So yeah, digital wallets can help catch stuff faster, but they're not foolproof either...still gotta stay vigilant.

Had a similar thing happen last year—someone tried buying a bunch of electronics online with my card. Didn't have a digital wallet at the time, so it took ages to sort out with the bank. Honestly, after that mess, I switched to digital wallets for most online stuff. Like you said:

"digital wallets can help catch stuff faster, but they're not foolproof either..."

Exactly right. They're handy and quicker at spotting weird transactions, but still gotta keep an eye on things yourself...nothing beats being cautious.

Went through something similar a couple years back—someone tried booking a pricey hotel in Vegas with my details. Took weeks to untangle that mess. Digital wallets do help, sure, but honestly they're just another layer... kinda like installing modern alarms in a vintage Mustang. Helpful? Definitely. Foolproof? Nah. You're spot on about vigilance being key; tech's great, but nothing beats regular old-fashioned caution and checking your statements regularly. Hang in there, it gets easier.

Digital wallets are definitely handy, but sometimes they can give a false sense of security. I've noticed people relying on them so heavily that they slack off on checking their accounts as closely as they should—assuming the tech has their back. Had a friend who missed a fraudulent charge for weeks because he figured his app would've flagged it. Tech's helpful, sure, but nothing replaces regular manual checks... even if it's just a quick glance every few days.

Totally get what you're saying about digital wallets. I had a similar wake-up call last year—noticed a weird charge on my account that my banking app completely missed. Luckily, I caught it early enough to dispute it without much hassle, but it definitely made me realize how easy it is to get complacent. Tech's great, but nothing beats giving your accounts a quick once-over every now and then... better safe than sorry, right?
