How much do comprehensive and collision add to an Arizona quote?

When comparing quotes for a newer car in Arizona, how do you tell whether comprehensive and collision are adding a reasonable amount to the premium? I’d like to see what each coverage costs separately, rather than only the combined total.

For a fair comparison, I’d keep the vehicle details and liability limits the same, then ask for each coverage at more than one deductible. How much have higher deductibles actually reduced your premium, and did the savings feel worth taking on more out-of-pocket cost after a covered loss? I’d also want to know whether any listed discounts apply to those coverage premiums, rather than just the policy total.

The car’s current value is a useful second yardstick: compare it with the annual cost of each coverage and the amount you could comfortably pay yourself after a loss. That won’t produce one “reasonable” price for everyone, but it helps show whether the premium is buying protection against a loss you couldn’t absorb. What vehicle value are you using for the newer car?
